Puppies—like all babies—often find bath time scary at first. At Onyva, we want your puppy to love getting clean from the very first day they enter our spa, which is why we created Onyva Puppy, a special package designed to minimize your pup’s anxiety and boost the joy.

With Onyva Puppy, you will receive a package of four visits designed to introduce your pup to the pleasure of regular grooming in a safe and professional environment. With each visit, your pup is gradually exposed to the full range of our services, becoming more comfortable each time. Onyva Puppy is the perfect way to begin a lifetime of good dog hygiene.

The Onyva Puppy Package includes:

• Spa Day 1. Welcome to Onyva: 
  In a playful manner, your puppy is exposed to a new space full of strange smells and sounds while being lovingly handled by our experienced team. After their fifteen minute visit filled with kisses, cuddles, and treats –as well as sniffing around the tubs, tools, and grooming tables—your pup will be eager to return to the spa.

• Spa Day 2. Brush & Go: 
  During their first real grooming experience, your puppy will be professionally—but kindly–handled on a grooming table and will receive Onyva’s Brush & Go service. They will be brushed and fluffed from top to tail, and returned to you smelling and feeling wonderful.

• Spa Day 3. Delightful Bath w/ Extra TLC:
  Finally, your puppy receives their first bath and blow dry using shampoo especially formulated for a puppy’s sensitive skin and coat. Getting wet in the tub and then placed on the table for drying will be a new experience, but one that your puppy will be ready for! The blow dryer –often the most frightening aspect of grooming—will be used, but your puppy will have already become familiar with the sound from previous visits.

• Spa Day 4. Onyva Bath: 
  Now your puppy is ready for The Onyva Bath, our signature service. In addition to a wash and blow dry, they will get a nail trim, dental cleaning, and trimming of paws, face, and (when appropriate) sanitary area.

At Onyva, we take special pride in our kind and gentle approach to even the most nervous pups. If your dog drags their tail and droops their head when it is time to go to the groomer, we recommend our Comfort & Care Package, specifically designed to help your dog feel calm and secure during their grooming service.

The Comfort & Care Package includes:

• Spa Day 1. Welcome Walkthrough:
  During an approximately fifteen minute visit, your dog will be lovingly exposed to the unique sights, smells, and sounds of Onyva. Using both dog behavioral techniques and old fashioned hugs and cuddles, our team develops a relationship with your pup, beginning the process of replacing negative grooming associations with positive ones.
• Spa Day 2. Brush & Go:
  After their initial introductory visit, your dog will come back for a Brush and Go service, where they will have a chance to be gently pampered and fluffed. This simple and pleasurable service will reinforce the pup’s sense of familiarity with our team and spa, and set the stage for a longer groom.
• Spa Day 3. Delightful Bath w/ Extra TLC: 
  The tub and blow dryer can be particularly challenging for dogs, so we take special care to make this first full service at Onyva calm and pleasant. Extra time is allotted so we can be certain that your dog has plenty of opportunity to take cuddle breaks. A gentle bath with our uniquely formulated products, followed by a slow-paced blow dry and brush-out, will leave your dog feeling refreshed inside and out.
• Spa Day 4. Onyva Bath w/ Extra TLC: 
  After several positive pampering experiences at Onyva, your dog is now ready for our Signature Service. In addition to a wash and blow dry, they will get a nail trim, dental cleaning, and trimming of paws, face, and (when appropriate) sanitary area. Not only will your dog emerge clean and smelling incredible, they will also be significantly more comfortable with the grooming process, and ready for a lifetime of good health and hygiene. Extra time is allotted so we can be certain that your dog has plenty of opportunity to take cuddle breaks.
